Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Inara (“Inara”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Inara website at myinara.app, our mobile applications, and all related features and services (together, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy . If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Inara

Inara is a spiritual and self-reflection app operated from Istanbul, Türkiye. The Service brings together Iris (a personalized, always-free guide), a marketplace of readers offering chat and voice sessions, birth-chart astrology, daily and weekly horoscopes, tarot spreads, and reflective tools such as Lover Mode and Pair Reading. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Acceptance and Changes to These Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. We may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective when posted, and the “Effective” date above reflects the latest revision. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Eligibility and Age

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase any subscription or credits, or use paid reader sessions. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older (or the higher minimum age required by your local law) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe a user does not meet these requirements.

4. For Personal Reflection: Entertainment Only

THE SERVICE, AND ANY READING, GUIDANCE, MESSAGE, HOROSCOPE, CHART, TAROT SPREAD, OPINION, INTERPRETATION, OR OTHER CONTENT PROVIDED THROUGH IT, IS OFFERED FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION AND ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.

The Service is not a substitute for professional advice, and you should not rely on it for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, relationship, or other important decisions. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Decisions you make based on the Service are your own responsibility. If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services immediately. The Service is not designed for emergencies and does not route messages to emergency responders.

5. Automated and Assisted Content

Some content within the Service, including responses from Iris and parts of readings, horoscopes, and other features, is generated or assisted by automated systems. Automated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your circumstances, and should always be treated as reflection rather than fact or prediction. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, reliability, or outcome of any content provided through the Service.

6. License and Access

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Your Account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account at the contact address below.

8. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Credits

The Service offers auto-renewing subscriptions (such as Inara+), optional free trials, and consumable credits used for certain features and reader sessions.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the price and billing interval shown at the time of purchase unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to a paid subscription at the stated price.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel subscriptions, and turn off auto-renewal, in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Credits. Credits are a digital, consumable item with no cash value. They are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for money, and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may adjust credit prices and the credit cost of features over time.

9. Payment and Billing

All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Pricing, billing currency, payment method, and applicable taxes are determined by Apple and by your region. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

10. Refunds

All purchases are final. Because purchases are processed by Apple, refunds (where available) are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store’s policies, and we are not able to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, follow Apple’s “Report a Problem” process for App Store purchases. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or abusive purpose.
Submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, sexually exploitative, or that violates the rights or privacy of others.
Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts, or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the Service.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or underlying data, except to the limited extent permitted by law.
Impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, or provide false information.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our prior written permission.

12. Readers and Sessions

The Service lets you connect with readers for chat and voice sessions. When interacting with a reader, you agree to behave respectfully and not to request or provide off-platform contact details, payment outside the Service, or any unlawful, exploitative, or abusive content. Readings and session content are provided for personal reflection and entertainment only (see Section 4). We do not guarantee the availability of any particular reader, session, or outcome, and we may remove readers or content at our discretion.

13. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit through the Service, including questions, messages, journal notes, and birth details (“User Content”). You grant Inara a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, process, reproduce, and use User Content as necessary to operate, secure, personalize, maintain, and improve the Service, and as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate these Terms or the rights of others. Where your content includes information about another person (for example, in Lover Mode or Pair Reading), you confirm you have a lawful basis to provide it.

14. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, text, graphics, logos, designs, and other materials (excluding User Content), is owned by Inara or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not use, copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service.

15. Restrictions on Automated Use and Model Training

You may not use the Service, or any content obtained from it, to develop, train, or improve any machine-learning model, large language model, or other artificial-intelligence system, nor to compile a database, without our prior written permission. Automated collection of content from the Service (including scraping or crawling) is prohibited.

16. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on and may link to third-party services, including Apple’s App Store and platform APIs and our service providers. Their practices are governed by their own terms and policies, which we do not control and for which we are not responsible.

17. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy , which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and explains how we handle your information, including sensitive birth and relationship data and content processed by automated systems.

18. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content will be accurate or reliable. Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inara and its founders, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (or via Apple for the Service) in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Inara and its founders, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms.

21. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Inara, or third parties, or as required by law. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 13–15, and 18–24) will survive.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at the address below and attempt to resolve the dispute informally in good faith. Subject to the following paragraph, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan), Türkiye shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer rights you have to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

United States users. If you reside in the United States, you and Inara agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND INARA WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND ANY RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

23. Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and Inara only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. To the extent the Service is acquired through the App Store, you also agree to Apple’s applicable terms, including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.

24. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-product purchase or subscription terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Inara regarding the Service.
